AUDIOVISUAL ACCESSIBILITY

Audiovisual Accessibility Services: Audio Description, Closed Captions, and Professional Subtitling

At Scriptus, we believe that inclusion begins with access to communication.

Our Audiovisual Accessibility Department was created with the mission of making audiovisual content accessible to everyone.

We combine technical expertise, cultural sensitivity, and accessibility knowledge to deliver high-quality audio description, closed captions, and multilingual subtitling services.

Our team supports projects across television, film, education, culture, healthcare, and public institutions, helping organizations make their content more accessible while meeting accessibility standards, platform requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

What Is Audiovisual Accessibility?

Audiovisual accessibility brings together a range of services designed to make audiovisual content accessible to people who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, visually impaired, or anyone who benefits from adapted audio, visual, or textual resources.

More than an additional service, accessibility helps expand audience reach, improve content understanding, and increase the social impact of every production.

At Scriptus, each project is evaluated individually to identify the most appropriate accessibility solutions, taking into account the format, language, audience, and communication goals of the content.

Our Accessibility Services

Audio Description

Scriptwriting, narration, recording, and editing of audio description tracks for audiovisual productions.

Whenever applicable, the process may include consultation with visually impaired reviewers, helping ensure clarity, natural flow, and an accessible storytelling experience.

Closed Captions & SDH

Creation of closed captions and subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing (SDH), including synchronization, text review, and adaptation to the specific requirements of each project.

We pay close attention to spelling, punctuation, speaker identification, sound cues, and technical specifications required by broadcasters, streaming platforms, digital media, and institutional content.

Multilingual Subtitling

Creation, translation, review, and synchronization of subtitles in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

Subtitles are adapted to the content, target audience, and delivery specifications required by each platform and distribution channel.

AI-Enhanced Audiovisual Production

Advanced technology applied to audio and video production, with expert supervision at every stage of the process.

At Scriptus, we apply AI-assisted tools to streamline production workflows, support technical processes, and expand creative possibilities—all under the guidance of experienced professionals responsible for creative direction, validation, and quality control.
